Letter from Pastor Francis

To Our Church Family,

As news continues to be made available regarding the increasing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the response of public health officials, the MBCLA staff hope to provide our church family with the latest information regarding church operations from today through the end of March.

Attached is the official announcement made by our Senior Pastor, Rev. Alan Chan, concerning the transition to livestream church services and the temporary suspension of ministries.

Please continue to pray as there is much fear and misinformation. We are committed to communicate with you on a consistent basis and will attempt to do so through many different channels. We believe that our God is sovereign and that He alone is in control. We pray that your faith in Him will grow, comfort, and sustain you during these uncertain times. MBCLA is here to minister to and shepherd you, so please inform us if you need any help during this season.

Contact me directly or other church staff with any questions you may have.

As Glenda and I prayed for our church family, Psalm 91 came to mind. May these words from the Lord strengthen you and pierce the dread that fear can bring:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

Trusting in our Sovereign Lord,

Pastor Francis
